Melissa Doyle spent more than a decade as host of the Seven Network’s flagship breakfast program Sunrise, building it from a virtually zero viewer base into the nation’s leading breakfast television program alongside co-host David Koch. She went on to host the Seven Network’s leading current affairs program, Sunday Night, for five years, and continues to host Weekend Breakfast on the Smooth FM radio network.
Melissa anchored the national 4pm news service on the Seven Network for two years and served as a Senior News Correspondent and contributor to Sunday Night during that time. In 2014, she released a best-selling memoir, Alphabet Soup, followed by her third book, 15 Seconds of Brave, in 2022. Over her career she has covered major news stories around the world and interviewed some of its most famous faces, from Jane Fonda, Katy Perry and Stevie Nicks to Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Jerry Lewis and Justin Bieber.
As one of television’s most charismatic and popular on-screen partnerships, Melissa and Kochie hosted landmark television specials including TV Turns 50, the Reach Out to Asia Tsunami Appeal and Where Are They Now?. As an experienced master of ceremonies, Melissa brings warmth, polish and genuine connection to every event she hosts, drawing on decades of live broadcasting experience under pressure.
Melissa is devoted to her many charities, serving as National Patron for Make-A-Wish and as an ambassador for Westmead Children’s Hospital, World Vision, the Children’s Cancer Institute and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. She is also an ambassador for the Federal Government’s National Road Safety Council and the Number One Ticket Holder for the GWS Giants. Melissa was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2016 for her service to the community and to broadcast media. Based in Sydney, Melissa is available to MC conferences, galas and corporate events across Australia.
