Christine Finnegan

Christine Finnegan brings over 25 years of experience as an accomplished administrator in the Australian sporting industry. She is the Chief Executive Officer of the 23/24 NBL Champions, the Tasmania JackJumpers.

Throughout her career, Christine has held senior positions in major organisations, including the ACT Brumbies and Melbourne Rebels (Rugby Union), Melbourne Storm (Rugby League), AFL Players Association and St Kilda Football Club (AFL).

Christine recently achieved her lifelong ambition of becoming a CEO.

Her leadership in a traditionally male-dominated industry showcases her determination and talent, as she has consistently proven her ability to excel at the highest levels of sport administration.

A people-driven leader, Christine has a unique ability to navigate the complexities of various sporting codes, each offering different challenges and perspectives.

Christine is a passionate advocate for nurturing young female talent. She regularly speaks on the importance of diversity in sport and business and is a sought-after speaker across Tasmania.

Christine has actively participated in International Women’s Day events and is involved with the Tasmanian Chief Executive Women (CEW) Chapter.

Christine was part of the inaugural AFL Women in Leadership Program and the AFL Executive Leadership Program which has nurtured up and coming talent to Chief Executive roles.

Christine is a passionate advocate for women to find pathways in male dominated environments, particularly in the sports industry.
