Carlton Football Club retiree, Eddie is renowned for his flare on the football field. Eddie Betts is one of the AFLs biggest names and has been a dominant forward his entire career, having kicked over 500 goals to date and having played over 300 AFL games.

Eddie has earned many accolades including being named in the All-Australian team three times, winning AFL goal of the year four times, playing for Australia in the International Rules Series on numerous occasions, representing the Indigenous All Stars, and being recognised as an AFL Life Member.

During his time at Adelaide Football Club, Eddie’s impressive work ethic has been recognised by his coaches and teammates winning the Chelsea Phillis Coaches Award in 2014 and the Phil Walsh Best Team Man Award in 2016.

Eddie is an incredible role model on and off the field. He is now a published author of two children’s books in the ’Eddie’s Lil Homies’ series promoting kindness, culture and acceptance.

He will feature in the upcoming Amazon Prime series: Making Their Mark, a seven-part docu-series following iconic identities from six teams throughout one of the most challenging seasons in AFL history.
