Virginia Langeberg is rapidly becoming one of Australia’s leading news media personalities and presenters. Virginia is a journalist and TV presenter with more than 15 years experience in Australia and abroad. She is currently a senior reporter for SBS World News specialising in global affairs which has recently seen her travel to Sri Lanka to cover the Easter bombings and to the Philippines in the midst of a super typhoon.

Virginia is also a regular news presenter on the SBS late news bulletin. Prior to basing herself in Sydney, Virginia worked for BBC World News in London. During her time in the UK she filed stories ranging from hurricanes in the US, bombings in Pakistan, to royal coverage domestically.
Her journalism career began in Adelaide where Virginia spent several years at Channel 9 including as a weather presenter and filling in at the news desk. She also on occasion co-hosted the breakfast show on radio station Hit-107 and has also worked for Fresh FM in her early years. As part of her media career, Virginia has hosted a number of "A LIST" events and has displayed a warm engaging professional style. Virginia has spent almost three decades living in Australia after moving from Sweden where she was born. Her mum is Tanzanian and her father is Swedish.
