Keynote Topics

Alastair’s keynote, Cybersecurity: Geopolitical Threats and Criminal Cartels, explores the evolution of cybersecurity threat and response in Australia, internationally and from a business perspective. He examines whether more can be done internationally and domestically to combat ransomware, and whether mandatory reporting of ransomware payments will have real impact. Alastair also unpacks the key considerations for company directors navigating cyber risk. Cybersecurity awareness has never been higher, thanks in part to the widely publicised breaches that now make headlines almost daily. Yet many businesses, large and small, still underestimate the potential cost of an attack. Alastair argues that technology is only one part of the cyber-resilience equation. People and their potential remain the critical cornerstone for any organisation. Alastair MacGibbon AI speaker sessions suit boards, executive teams and industry conferences.
