Michelle Perugini AI speaker sessions come from an entrepreneur, academic and internationally renowned expert in health, medical research and advanced AI technologies. She holds a PhD in Medicine. She also spent over a decade in oncology research before transitioning into industry. There, she founded two global AI technology companies. One of these was acquired by EY in 2015.
As Co-Founder and CEO of Presagen, Michelle led the development of a world-first federated AI platform for medical data. Its flagship product, Life Whisperer, improved IVF outcomes and was commercialised in 48 countries. Global IVF manufacturer Astec acquired the business in 2024. That same year, Presagen merged with Qubist to form Qubigen. Today, she serves as Board Chair of Qubigen, a company advancing AI-driven drug design using federated AI. She most recently served as Director of Research Translation and Commercialisation at Adelaide University. There, she was also CEO of AU Ventures, leading the strategic translation of university research into real-world impact. From September 2026, she steps into a new role. As Managing Director at Scyne Advisory, she brings her expertise in AI, commercialisation, strategy and governance to the firm’s AI transformation work.
