Ordinary Heroes
What does it take to be a hero? In a world intoxicated by self-promotion, the hard working, tenacious mother, father, son, daughter who digs in, pushes forward and overcomes life’s battles is the hero.
Today we face a challenge unlike any faced before us. The challenge for our attention, for our mind. Globally, the world brightest, fuelled by excess wealth are engaged in the quest to own our attention… and it’s working.
Life was tough enough already, but now loneliness and Isolation are at record levels, physical activity is low, chronic disease is high, ADHD is everywhere, motivation is waning and we’re increasingly glued to pieces of glass with flashing pixels believing that this is life.
We’ve moved rapidly from hunters and gatherers to swipers and tapers. It’s not healthy. It’s not sustainable. Burnout rates are the canary in the coal mine. It’s time to take back control.
It’s time, as individuals to embrace our evolutionary potential. To be heroes. To re-engage with the actions and behaviours that delivered us to this time of prosperity… to reconnect with hope and optimism. To take action on behaviours that matter.
This is a call to arms to take back control of mind and body. It’s time for us all to be heroes, for ourselves, and for others.
World’s Healthiest Habits.
What makes the world’s healthiest people so alive, energetic and driven? Why do some pockets of people live significantly longer than others? The answer may come down in part to genetics… but the difference between ‘good’ and ‘exceptional’ lives often comes down to habitual behaviours… a.k.a. habits.
For over 30 years now Troy Flower has been studying and experimenting with the world’s healthiest habits. As founder and CEO of Wellteam, Troy will share his insights into daily actions that can deliver great value across mind and body.
Rather than just telling you what to do, this practical, interactive, action-oriented session provides insights into the rationale behind the world’s healthiest habits, providing the what and the why.
Audiences will leave the session with a take home habit-tracking action check-list for implementation in the next 30 days. This is a great way to engage audiences en-masse in healthier behaviours that can drive cultural change and individuals to happier and healthier
