Description
Will McDonald Master of Ceremonies (MC): Nine News Adelaide Presenter and Journalist
Event organisers who book Will McDonald Master of Ceremonies (MC) services secure one of Adelaide’s most familiar broadcasting faces. Born and bred in Adelaide, Will joined the Nine Network in 2004. He now presents Nine Live Adelaide, the network’s 4pm weekday news bulletin, and co-anchors the weekend edition of Nine News Adelaide alongside Alice Monfries. That combination makes him a household name across the state.
Will began his journalism career in 2000, reporting for local news bulletins in central South Australia, before moving to Port Lincoln and then Port Pirie to anchor local bulletins. He has also filed reports for the Today Show and A Current Affair. As an MC, Will has hosted major South Australian events including the Australia Day Council SA of the Year Community Awards and the SA Young Achiever Awards.
A Powerful Story of Resilience
Beyond the newsroom, Will’s most compelling story is his own. At just 42, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. Despite this, he continued to work throughout his treatment and remains determined to show audiences that life can still be extraordinary after a life-changing diagnosis. Today, Will is a Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia ambassador who completed the gruelling Cairns Ironman Triathlon to raise funds for the cause. Consequently, his keynote topics draw directly on this journey, covering resilience, managing stress and developing the right mindset.
As an MC and event host, Will brings the polish and composure of a seasoned newsreader to corporate conferences, award nights and community events. Consequently, organisations that book Will McDonald Master of Ceremonies (MC) can rely on a host who combines broadcasting polish with a genuinely inspiring personal story. Based in Adelaide, Will is available to MC and speak at events across Australia. Read more about Will on Wikipedia.
