Born and bred in Adelaide, Will McDonald joined the Nine News team in 2004 and presents Nine Live Adelaide, Adelaide’s 4pm afternoon news bulletin, and Nine News on weekends.
Will began his journalism career in 2000, moving to Port Lincoln for Southern Cross News. Writing, filming and editing his own stories, it was a brilliant entry into the news industry, and where he honed his skills. A year after landing in Port Lincoln, Will moved to Port Pirie to anchor the local news bulletin.
This put him in good stead to join the Nine News team, where he now reports, produces and presents news stories during the week for Nine Live Adelaide and moves to the news desk at weekends.
Will has quickly become one of Adelaide’s rising stars of TV and has become a popular young Adelaide media personality. His engaging personality and warm smile quickly connects with an audience.
Will has hosted many “A” list events in Adelaide including: The Australia Day Council South Australian of the Year Community Awards, The SA Young Achiever Awards,The Tea Tree Gully Civic Park Christmas Carols and the SA Netball Awards 2018.
