Description

Janine Allis business speaker sessions come from the founder of Boost Juice Bars and Executive Director of Retail Zoo. She grew her juice and smoothie empire from her kitchen bench in 2000. Today, Boost Juice operates in 15 countries. Retail Zoo now spans four brands, including Salsas Fresh Mex Grill, Betty’s Burgers and Cibo Espresso, with more than 600 stores worldwide.

Janine had no formal business training. Instead, she took a common-sense approach and made up her own path along the way. Before starting Boost Juice, she worked three jobs to fund her travels around the world, taking on roles from a nanny in France to working on yachts in the Caribbean. Her business has since generated more than two billion dollars in global sales. BRW listed her as one of the top 15 people who changed the way business is done in the last 25 years. She is also the best-selling author of The Accidental Entrepreneur, and a Champion contestant on Channel Ten’s Australian Survivor.

In May 2010, US-based private equity firm The Riverside Company acquired a major stake in the Boost Investment Group. This agreement gave Boost the financial backing and international expertise needed to turn the company into one of the world’s most-loved brands.
Janine attributes the success of her business to the fresh, young and dynamic culture that pervades all aspects of the company. She believes that integrity and honesty are the top two most important things when it comes to building a culture.
Together with a dedicated and inspired team of Boost Juice franchisees Janine is "showing people that being healthy isn’t hard, it’s a choice." She insists, however, that the phenomenal success of Boost owes more to a combination of elements than any one secret. "It’s not just the juices, the groovy stores, or the staff; it’s a combination that makes Boost Juice what it is."
