Human Skills for the Future

Jehan Casinader is a business and personal development speaker, author and award-winning journalist. In addition, he uses epic live storytelling to help audiences cut through the noise and learn the key human skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Jehan Casinader teaches the essential human skills we need for the future. For example, his high-impact keynotes and workshops tackle generational change, communication in the AI era, leadership and mental health.

Your audience’s brains are overloaded. As a result, they don’t need more information. Instead, they need someone to translate it. What sets Jehan apart is his ability to explain big, complex topics in a way that actually makes sense. First, he distils the latest research, finds the human story, and shares practical tools that audiences can use straight away. Consequently, the result is much more than a “motivational” speech. In short, his presentations leave audiences informed, surprised, energised and more prepared for the future.

About Jehan Casinader, Business Speaker

A former journalist, Jehan Casinader began his TV career at just 13. Later, by 28, he was named “Reporter of the Year” at the New Zealand Television Awards. He interviewed seven Prime Ministers, plus white supremacists, entrepreneurs, disaster heroes, pop stars, and everyone in between. In 2020, he wrote the acclaimed memoir “This Is Not How It Ends”, about his journey through depression and suicidal thoughts.

Now, as a full-time speaker for six years, Jehan has delivered more than 500 keynotes and workshops across New Zealand and Australia. Importantly, there are no copy-and-paste presentations. Rather, he carefully researches each organisation, sector and audience, then tailors his content to what the client is trying to achieve.

In addition, Jehan is an experienced MC and facilitator for conferences, strategic events and awards. He regularly leads on-stage interviews and panel discussions with ministers, business leaders, industry experts, celebrities and community leaders.

Based in Melbourne, Jehan works with clients across Australia and New Zealand. As a result, event planners value his preparation, professionalism and consistency, with some clients choosing to rebook him year after year.

Generation Next

Gen Z is here, and they’re asking big questions. What’s the purpose of work? Who should hold the power in the workplace? Does loyalty to an employer count for anything? And will their job really satisfy their wants and desires?

In fact, this is the first generation in history that refuses to be placated by pay rises and promotions. Therefore, if you want to secure the future of your workforce, you need to have a much better story to tell. As a self-described “recovering millennial”, Jehan Casinader flips the script on Gen Z, explaining how we can bridge the generational divide. Overall, this thought-provoking session captures key trends, and will change the way you engage with Gen Z.

Tell Me the Good News

We’re drowning in negative information. From breaking news to social media, we’re bombarded with bleak, anxiety-inducing content all day long. How can we stay informed, without being overwhelmed? How can we process information that makes us feel worried about the future? And how can we find reasons to be optimistic?

To help, Jehan offers a unique “insider’s view” on how the media works. From clickbait to algorithms and everything in between, he explains how you can take back control, and find the good news.

Common Ground

Our world feels more polarised than ever. Left or right. Urban or rural. Old or young. Rich or poor. Right or wrong. In or out.

Often, we struggle to bridge these divides in our workplaces, communities and even our own families. However, as a journalist, Jehan knows how to quickly build trust and rapport with complete strangers, often in high-pressure situations. Above all, he’ll teach you how to form deep connections with people who don’t look, think or behave like you. When we find common ground, we can avoid conflict and build stronger relationships.

The Key to Influence

Do you want to change how people think or act? Storytelling is the key to influence. But many of us don’t know how to tell great stories, or we’re afraid to open up.

Consequently, our most important messages are never heard. As an award-winning journalist, Jehan tells stories that resonate with people from all walks of life. Fortunately, his remarkable toolkit will help you to build trust, grow your influence, and show others why your work really matters. Learn how to cut through the noise and connect deeply with the people who matter to you.

Make Them Care

People who thrive in business have one thing in common: they create exceptional client experiences. Jehan reveals the remarkable power of “non-transactional behaviours”, the small choices that build trust and loyalty.

For instance, the words you use, the signals you send, the details you notice and the energy you share all count. Furthermore, drawing on real examples from media and business, Jehan will share powerful “micro-skills” that will transform your relationships and give you an invisible edge. Ultimately, by surpassing people’s expectations, you can deliver unrivalled value, win more work, and build partnerships that last.
